The six coverage lines Volks subvendors are required to carry — every limit and endorsement below, all from carriers rated A-VII or better by A.M. Best.
Statutory WC in every state where services are performed, with a waiver of subrogation in favor of Volks Resources LLC. Employers’ liability at $1M each accident / $1M disease policy limit / $1M disease each employee — higher than the default limits most WC policies carry.
$1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate written on ISO Form CG 00 01 or equivalent — premises, operations, products/completed operations, and contractual liability. Must name Volks as additional insured, carry a waiver of subrogation, and be primary and non-contributory.
$1M combined single limit covering all owned, hired, and non-owned vehicles — with Volks Resources named additional insured. Field crews running personal trucks between sites need hired & non-owned coverage verified, not assumed.
$1M per claim / $2M aggregate covering all services performed — the requirement that surprises construction subs. Engineering, design, and make-ready analysis errors are E&O claims, not GL claims. Claims-made policies need a retroactive date before services begin.
If E&O is claims-made, coverage must be maintained for two years after services are complete. Dropping the policy when the job ends is a breach — and leaves late-reported design claims uncovered. We structure tails and retro dates so this never bites.
$1M per occurrence, following form over the CGL, auto, and employers’ liability — and, unusually, the umbrella itself must be primary and non-contributory with respect to Volks’ own insurance. We confirm the endorsement, not just the limit.
Volks Resources delivers engineering and field programs across 22 states for Tier-1 and Tier-2 telecom clients — if you sub on any of these scopes, these requirements apply to you.
Design, permitting, and fielding crews — where a routing error is an E&O claim, not a GL claim.
Pole audits, load analysis, and make-ready construction — field risk plus engineering judgment.
Multi-carrier cell site installation, integration, and closeout packages.
Rack-and-stack, cabling, L2/L3 configuration, and fiber testing — including AI workload buildouts.
Field verification, as-builts, and delivery support — professional liability follows the deliverable.
Everyone under you must carry the same limits — including the E&O — with proof on request.
Most brokers quote the GL and stop. The Volks subvendor program is six lines with endorsement language that gets certificates rejected — we build the whole package to the agreement, not to a generic checklist.
Telecom engineering E&O is a specialty placement — generalist agents struggle to quote it at all. We place $1M/$2M professional liability for OSP design, make-ready analysis, and field engineering scopes, with retro dates set before your effective date.
Additional insured on CGL and auto, waivers on WC and CGL, primary and non-contributory on both the CGL and the umbrella — actual endorsements on CG 00 01 paper, not description-box promises.
Certificates are due within ten days of the effective date and before any work order. We issue same-day on binding and track renewals so certificates arrive before expiration — with the 30-day notice provisions wired in.
We help you collect and verify matching coverage from your own subs and 1099 crews — so a Volks audit request on lower-tier coverage is a same-day email, not a scramble.
What subvendors ask about the requirements before signing.
Volks Resources delivers engineering services — OSP fiber design, wireless engineering, pole make-ready analysis, data center installation. Design and engineering errors are professional liability claims, not bodily injury or property damage, so general liability never responds to them. Subvendors must carry $1,000,000 per claim / $2,000,000 aggregate E&O covering all services performed under the agreement.
If your E&O policy is written claims-made (most are), the retroactive date must precede the date you start services, and you must keep the coverage in force for two years after completing services. Cancel the policy early and claims reported later have no coverage — and you are in breach of the agreement.
Volks Resources LLC must be named additional insured on both the general liability and automobile liability policies. Workers comp and GL both need waivers of subrogation, and both the GL and the umbrella must be primary and non-contributory to any insurance Volks maintains. GL must be written on ISO Form CG 00 01 or equivalent with contractual liability included.
Within ten days of your effective date and before starting work under any work order. Renewal certificates are due before any policy expires, and you must give thirty days written notice of cancellation or material reduction (ten days for non-payment).
Yes. The requirements flow down in full: any lower-tier subcontractor or independent contractor you use must carry the same coverages and limits — including the E&O — and you must produce proof on request. If your 1099 crews carry GL only, that is your compliance gap, not theirs.
Carriers must be rated A-VII or better by A.M. Best — a stricter standard than many municipal specs. Most admitted commercial carriers qualify; verify surplus-lines placements before submitting certificates.
